Safety mobilizing those in need.
The human transportation cargo space is especially critical when it comes to Non-Emergency Transportation (NEMT) and Ambulance services. Passenger special needs, attention and driver training is essential. Human cargo is under the control of the transportation entity until actuation of a transfer of risk via delivery to the final destination and proper acknowledgement received. Injuries and fatalities occurring prior to such transfer would normally fall under the transportation entity’s Automobile Liability policy, claims against which can be extremely costly. Typically not federally regulated, it is essential to screen each risk for proper vehicle maintenance, driver hiring, safety training, supervision, and specialty training in the care and transport of disabled persons. HIPPA and other laws may also apply.
