CVSA Releases Revised Medical-card Enforcement Bulletin

According to JJ Keller & Associates May 14, 2015 blog, The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) has issued revised guidance concerning the enforcement of medical-card requirements on drivers who hold a commercial driver’s license (CDL). DOT Medical cards can be used up to 60 days after issuance. If the certificate was issued 61 days or more days ago, the driver can be cited for failing to provide the medical certificate to the state agency, a violation of 49CFR 383.71(h).
